I then tried to add your drum map to the track, but when I did that, there was suddenly no sound. Secondly (and lastly), in experimenting, I added AD the way their site explained it (with the mono outs). Does having kit pieces grouped on a stereo track mean that I don't have individual control over each piece? Just a little confused over that and would like to understand it a little better. I'm just curious why you did it the way you did it and if/why that's a preference to have pieces grouped on a stereo track. On the AD page, when they explain how to add AD with multiple outs, they say, "Make sure 'All Synth Outputs to Mono' is checked." Doing that seems to put each kit piece on its own track, albeit mono.

I downloaded your files and noticed that in your track template, Addictive Drums comes up with the "All Synth Audio Outputs to Stereo" apparently having been selected, where the kick/snare are grouped, etc. I am fairly new to midi in general and am trying hard to learn quickly. Just a couple questions, though, and please pardon any "newbie-ness" to any of these. Incredibly kind of you, and it's been quite helpful to me as I learn to use X3 with Addictive Drums. I have re-installed the TD-30 driver twice, still the same result. The kick drum and the snare are correct, but everything else is off or playing hi-hat. And no matter what I change, it still happens the same way. When I hit Tom 1 on the TD-30, I see "D2 127" register in Midi Monitor for both note on and off.īut.the hi-hat open sound plays when I hit it.

I have the insert listening for midi port 10, which is where the TD-30 is sending data. I loaded Pro Tools Ultimate and Addictive Drums 2, and checked the mapping between the expected notes for the drum kit pieces (e.g., Tom 1 open hit is D2). Verified MIDI data is being received by the Mac. Just picked up a new MacBook Pro (MacOS 10.15 Catalina 10.15.5) and Focusrite 18i8 interface and connecting a TD-30 via USB through a T3 hub. I am getting incorrect sounds coming back from AD2 when the MIDI input and the map seem to both say the right one should play. I haven't posted here in a long time, trying to be thorough.
